Die Zeit verkürzt sich, weil es ja vorher noch die kleine Tour gibt. Vielleicht haben wir Glück und sie kommen für ein paar Konzerte in die BRD. Dann haben wir ein Zwischenziel, wo drauf wir hinfiebern können. Danach kommt die instrumentale Sache, Weihnachten und schwupps ist nicht mehr lang und es kommt was Neues

AVC: What can you tell us about the new album you're working on?

PH: It's just in its infancy, really. We toured a lot last year and some of this year, and I just did a Onetwo tour. And before that, Andy and I played with a full orchestra in Spain—us and Simple Minds, playing our hits in these huge arenas. So in between doing that, we've just done starts, really. There's nothing concrete yet. Andy's probably a bit more advanced on them than me, because I've been so busy with Onetwo, so he's had a bit more time and has a few more songs sketched. But I started working while on the tour, because you can work on your laptop now, which is just fantastic. You can be away and still write songs, which you could never do in the '80s. I can say I'm heading in a very electronic direction—very experimental and odd.

"The good news is that this has freed the band up to pursue work on the new OMD studio album. In fact Andy McCluskey will be in the studio this week to record live drums with Mal Holmes on tracks destined for the album. The forthcoming album is scheduled for a Spring 2010 release date."

Das ist aber ne lange Durststrecke zwischen
Ankündigung in der Chartshow 2005 und dem erscheinen....

Naja,wird der Zeitplan zwar nicht eingehalten,aber das sind ja immerhin mal Neuigkeiten,auf die ich schon fast nicht mehr zu hoffen wagte.

Und wenn ich bedenke,wie schnell inzwischen ein Jahr vergeht,trinke ich noch einige Tassen/Fässer Tee und warte ab.

Hatte gestern nochmal ins offizielle Forum reingeschaut,aber diesbezüglich noch nix gefunden.

Ja,und ich hoffe doch sehr,daß Paule auch etwas mitreden darf,damit das Neuwerk nicht wie A.K. Vol. II klingt.....
