Hab auch pünktlich am 11.03. meine Post von Amazon bekommen :D Ich käme gar nicht auf die Idee, irgendwo anders zu bestellen als dort, denn da weiß ich, dass der Kram auch tatsächlich termingerecht bei mir ankommt. Hatte zwar einige Sachen auch mal bei Inditective bestellt, ist aber eigentlich unnötig (und auch teurer).

"Alone" auf der EP ist die ganz normale Bonus-Version.

Für die Amis ist's natürlich immer noch doof, dass sie auch jetzt nicht an die Vinylversion von "HoM Part III & IV" rankommen :? Andererseits finde ich es klasse, dass auf der EP die "Live"-Version drauf ist - das macht das Ganze natürlich interessanter und wäre allein schon ein Grund für mich gewesen, mir die CD zu kaufen. Seltsam nur, dass nirgendwo erwähnt wird, das es sich auf der EP um die Live-Version handelt :o

Nachdem ich Vorgestern bei Firebrand wegen meiner dort bestellten CD EP per E-Mail nachgefragt hatte, kam sie dann Gestern auch endlich bei mir an. *puh*

Eine derartige "pre-order" werde ich aber ganz sicher nicht nochmal machen, da ich einfach keine 6 Wochen lang auf etwas warten will, was man woanders schon viel früher bekommt - und das sogar ganz legal! ;)

Leider gab's die Vinyl-Scheibe nicht bei Amazon, also musste ich (Anfang März) auf der OMD-Website bestellen. Und nach gut zwei Wochen kam die Platte auch an. Schade - diesmal kein farbiges Vinyl. Und das knallgelbe Cover ist irgendwie auch nicht mein Fall. Aber die CD-EP liegt bei mir dauerhaft im Player. Vor allem "VCR" finde ich prima!

in der neuen Ausgabe der deutschen Media-Control-Top 100 (28-03-2011) ist HoM1 nicht mit dabei. Bisher wurde auch aus England bzw anderweitigen europäischen Charts (außer Radio-Hörercharts) etwas über eine Platzierung bekannt. Reine Veröffentlichung für die Fans. Auch schön. ;) Da hätte man die Pro7-Werbung auch sparen können *g*

Naja, was haben wir denn nach den Flops der ersten beiden Singles erwartet? HoM1 ist zwar einer der netteren Songs auf dem neuen Album, aber hat wirklich jemand geglaubt, dass es ein Radio-Hit wird?
Die guten Kritiken und Verkäufe in Deutschland ändern nichts daran, dass "History Of Modern" nach "Crush" und "Liberator" das dritte wirklich schwache OMD-Alben ist, und das zeigt sich diesmal vor allem an den Singles.

Ich würde auch sagen, das muß jeder selber wissen was für ihn ein gutes und ein schlechtes OMD-Album ist. Für mich zum Beispiel ist es neben Sugar Tax das beste OMD-Album und völlig zurecht auf Platz 5 der Charts gekommen. Warum die Singles nicht im Radio laufen verstehe ich nicht, den wenn ich mal den direkten Vergleich zu UNIVERSAL ziehe, stelle ich fest, dass WOTMW damals hoch und runter gespielt wurde und es kam über Platz 57 nicht hinaus. IYWI hingegen mit nahezu NULL Radio.-TV-Auftritten schafft es auf Platz 47.
Ich möchte garnicht wissen wo das Ding gelandet wäre wenn es ähnlich häufig gespielt worden wäre wie damals Milky way. Egal ob uns der Song als Fan nun gefällt oder nicht... Und mal ehrlich, was uns da den ganzen lieben langen Tag als "neue Hits" im Radio kredenzt wird, ist nach meiner Meinung häufig um Längen schwächer als beispielsweise HOM 1 oder IYWI.
Hätte Kylie den Song HOM I heraus gebracht, wäre es ein Hit geworden, aber so...Wie soll ein Lied auch nur eine Chance bekommen ein Hit zu werden, wenn er nahezu NIE gespielt wird...???... typisch Radio :evil:

Habe bisher immer nur die CD (EP) gehört, aber heute mal die 10er Maxi aufgelegt. Dabei ist mir aufgefallen dass die Reihenfolge der Tracks auf der B-Seite anders ist als auf dem Cover abgedruckt. Ich gehe mal davon aus, das es bei der gesamten Auflage der Fall ist, oder sieht es bei euch anders aus?
