Die PSB-Fans (zu denen ich mich nun schon seit über 20 Jahren zähle) werden im Moment wirklich gut mit neuem "Stoff" versorgt. Neben der Single "Numb" in mehreren Formaten und der Doku-DVD "A Life In Pop" gibt es ein neues Live-Album ("Concrete") mit dem BBC Concert Orchestra und einem Gastauftritt von Robbie Williams. Feine Sache, das Ganze.

Außerdem gibts jetzt ein 340 Seiten dickes Buch namens "Catalogue" (Großformat, komplett fabrig und auf deutsch !) mit allem, was die Jungs in ihrer Karriere so vollbracht haben (alle Platten, Tourneen, Videos usw.). Kostet zwar schlappe 50 Euros, ist den Preis aber wirklich wert.

So was nenne ich vorbildliche Fanversorgung !

die psb finde ich so richtig gut vor allem auf den ersten 3 regulären alben ("please", "actually" und "behavior"). danach sind es leider nur noch einzelne songs die mich überzeugen, wobei es davon dann aber auf jeder der nachfolgenden platte welche gibt. aktuell z.B. "luna park" oder "twentieth century". -also wenn sie gut sind, dann meistens richtig! ;-)
was ich ganz nett finde: der sound der psb und neil tennants stimme haben jedes mal einen hohen wiedererkennungswert und vermitteln damit sowas "heimelig-beständiges". ;-)

Diese 50 € würde ich im Falle von OMD selbstredend auch hinblättern!

PET SHOP BOYS finde ich auch schon immer gut, nur leider habe ich es bisher nie mal gepackt, mir was von denen zuzulegen. Dehalb kann ich als Favoriten auch nur die bekannten Singles ins Feld führen, allen voran WESTEND GIRLS, immer noch mein Lieblingsstück von denen. Und BEING BORING. Und WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS (aber das war glaube ich von Dusty Springfield, oder doch nicht?)

Ich denke, dass bei so einigen von uns O.M.D.-Anhängern Bands wie PSB, New Order/Joy Division, Depeche Mode eine große Rolle spielen.
PSB haben - so finde ich - diesmal ein etwas schlechteres Album gemacht. Ist nicht so schlimm, der Vorgänger "Release" war dafür umso besser, auch haben sie m.E. auch früher schon mal Alben gemacht, die nur von ihren Singlehits lebten, aber genial finde ich bei den Jungs, dass sie ihre Sache schon so lange in dieser Form durchziehen, sie melden sich regelmäßig alle 2-3 Jahre mit irgendwelchen Projekten für die sie sich niemals schämen oder später distanzieren würden. Hätten Andy und Paul nur diese Durchhaltekraft gehabt! Wir müssten dann nicht jahrelang jedem Schnipzel hinterherhecheln und uns jetzt Gedanken machen, ob das mit dem Comeback so klappt, wie wir es uns so sehnlichst wünschen!

Mich auch nicht.Und sie sind sich(beinahe) immer irgendwie treu geblieben.Schrullig,ironisch und typisch englisch...... :D Hatte am We den besagten,neuerschienen Bildband auch mal in den Fingern und war ziemlich angetan.Sowas von OMD wäre auch mal ne feine Sache. :D Peter Savilles Arbeiten aus den Anfangsjahren sind meiner Meinung nach einfach großartig!!!
