Konkrete Tourpläne sind für 2008 ja in Verbindung mit dem LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA bekanntgegeben woren. Dabei spielt auch die Musik, die OMD für die "PETER SAVILLE INSTALLATION" 2007 beisteuern wird, eine größere Rolle. Habe einfach mal die Infos, die ich derzeit darüber habe und welche sich auch im - Link finden lassen, hier nochmals reinkopiert: OMD liefern den Soundtrack für die "Peter Saville Installation" im Rahmen des "Manchester International Arts Festival" im Sommer 2007. Diese Zusammenarbeit beinhaltet die Saville - Installation "Eine Erkundung diverser nordenglischer Kraftwerke" - ein Film, der unterlegt sein wird mit neuer, extra für diesen Anlass geschriebener und aufgenommener Musik von OMD. Arbeitstitel dieser Komposition ist "THE ENERGY SUITE" und basiert thematisch auf 5 Kraftwerke. Der Soundtrack umfasst 5 neue Songs mit jeweils einer Länge von 5 - 6 Minuten. Stilistisch werden sich diese Songs zusammensetzen aus den auf Band aufgenommenen, typischen Geräuschen der jeweiligen Kraftwerke, kombiniert mit sehr orchestralen Arrangements. _________________________________________________________________ Eine Live-Premiere dieses Soundtracks findet statt im März 2008 in Liverpool (FACT) im Rahmen der "Capital Of Culture Celebrations" statt. OMD werden außerdem für eine einzigartige Tour durch Europa und die USA im Herbst 2008 mit dem LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA zusammenarbeiten. Das Orchester wird dabei auch die "The Energy Suite" der OMD/Peter Saville Installation musikalisch umsetzen. Es werden gigantische Videowände zum Einsatz kommen und Bilder der verschiedenen Kraftwerke darauf projeziert. Das LPO wird OMD außerdem bei einigen Songs aus dem umfangreichen Back-Katalog der Band musikalisch auf der Bühne unterstützen. _________________________________________________________________ Ehrlich gesagt sind die bisher getätigten Aussagen seitens von Andy allesamt ein wenig verwirrend, wie diese Zusammenarbeit mit dem LPO nun genau aussehen wird und wann erstmals tatsächlich Konzerte - sei es nun im Rahmen der "ENERGY SUITE" oder der Herbsttour 2008 - stattfinden werden. Um nach und nach Licht ins Dunkel zu bringen - dafür soll dieser Beitrag hier sein.
