......weiß mal wieder nicht,ob ich hier im richtigen Thread bin,aber ich wollte mal sagen,dass die Tour wohl doch erfolgreich war und nicht wie im letzten Jahr finanziell eher noch drauf gezahlt werden mußte!

... andererseits hörte sich das eher nach Festivalauftritten in "Europe" an, wie hier schonmal gepostet wurde... insofern *freudeetwasdämpf* - dafür können die US Leutz sich auf die Band einstellen, wie es ja in dem Liverpooler Artikel am Ende heißt... was das Gute ist: Die Maschine rollt! Die Band hat sich wiedergefunden! Es wird nen neues Album geben! Die touren weiter und es macht ihnen Spaß! Genießen auch wir es (und geben schonmal Liederwünsche für die näxte Tour an ) (und betteln weiter für nen special organisation-gig somewhere in the world for the diehardfans )

Bin mir nicht so sicher,ob ich das noch richtig verstanden habe....

Naja,und das mit den Festival-Auftritten ist für mich eigentlich noch nicht spruchreif,da bis dahin ja noch eine Menge passieren kann.
Aber wie Du gesagt hast:Die Maschine läuft wieder,es geht weiter und somit ist eigentlich alles offen...auch für Nicht-Festival-Konzerte.

Und wenn ich sie im nächsten Jahr auf dem M'era Luna sehen sollte,wäre das auch nicht das Schlechteste..*g*

........finde D wurde dieses Jahr "stiefmütterlich" behandelt und hat somit noch einmal Vorang(*soeinklitzekleinwenig*) ,bevor die Amis an der Reihe sind.......

Ich glaube da werde ich noch den einen oder anderen
Urlaubstag von diesem Jahr mit ins neue nehmen

im uk-forum gabs heute dieses statement von andy mccluskey zu lesen:

The 30th Anniversary tour was devised for a specific music biz reason. Despite last years tour being great.. the agents and promoters rep got carried away and the second half of the tour had lower ticket sales than the first half. This had a negative impact on promoters feelings about taking OMD on summer festivals. We needed a big ticket tour to restore our credibility with promoters. Ultimately we felt that it would be safer to keep it short and UK/Dublin based. We wanted to come to Europe but were nervous and we were queezed for time to get other things done.
Also, my wife has to return to the USA for more surgery.

The Anniversary tour was a success in terms of creating a positive vibe for promoters who book summer festivals. We plan to chase festival gigs aggressively in Europe and fill in week days with theatre gigs in Europe. That is our hope but we cannot promise that it will happen. We are also talking to North American promoters for next year... but again I don't know what will be the outcome. We are also looking into Asia and Australia. No promises.

Regarding the Energy Suite... it is an art piece in an art gallery. After it is premiered we will see what happens next. Maybe it will stay exclusive. Maybe in the end it will be available in broader release.. we have to see how it is received by the "art" world. We are working with an artist.. Peter Saville who has a different agenda to music groups and their fans.. we must respect his decisions.

I hope that this helps to clarify some concerns. I am sorry if some of the continental fans feel that they are being ignored.. this is not our plan.. but we have to try to move forward carefully so that everything is perceived as positive in the difficult world of the touring business.
